Ammonium Sulfate
Ammonium sulfate is mainly used as a nitrogen fertilizer in agriculture. There are also many other niche applications, such as food additives and drinking water treatment.

The use of fertilizers
Feeding the world and ensuring a sustainable supply of fertilizers is an enormous challenge for government, industry and agriculture. However, fertilizers have become indispensable in today’s society because they enable farmers to grow more food on limited land by stimulating plant growth and development.
In the food industry, fertilizers are used in various forms and concentrations, depending on the needs of the plants and the requirements of the particular growing situation. There are organic fertilizers such as animal manure and compost, and mineral fertilizers such as nitrogen, phosphate and potash.
