Operating behavior & mechanical features
SIEBTECHNIK Linear-motion Screening Machines are free-swinging machines, which means that the vibration amplitude is freely adjustable according to the mass ratio of the screen box and unbalance. Linear-motion Screening Machines can be designed with a steep (approx. 75°) or flat (approx. 40°) throw angle and are therefore flexible in the choice of screen bottom inclination from rising to horizontal to falling. Examples are dewatering screens with a 3° to 5° incline and screening machines with classifying tasks that require an incline of up to approx. 40° (thin-layer screening).
Our screening machines in the HG (double unbalance gearbox), DWS (double shaft screen) and HR (unbalance motors) series offer separation sizes from 0.5 to 300 mm and a screening surface of approx. 1 to approx. 60 m². Depending on the product, the machines can be designed for a vibration amplitude of 2 – 14 mm. The screen structure can comprise between one and three screen decks.
The speed and vibration amplitude of the linear vibratory screening machine can be varied to suit the specific product, ensuring a consistently perfect screening result.
The screen box is designed to accommodate either longitudinally or transversely tensioned screen panels or flat screen panels and, of course, system screen panels from different screen panel manufacturers.
The screen box, consisting of side walls and cross beams, absorbs all static and dynamic forces. Vibration generation is not located in the center of gravity of the screen box. Double unbalance gears or unbalance motors are mounted on a drive bridge. It is important that the resulting direction of force action passes through the center of gravity. The same applies to the position of the two drive shafts in double-shaft screening machines.
The Linear-motion Screening Machine is driven via a V-belt drive with reduction gear or via a direct drive using a cardan shaft. The double unbalance gears are oil-filled. The unbalance motors have lifetime grease lubrication. Double shaft screens are optionally lubricated with oil or grease.
The screen box is elastically supported against the substructure on 4 spring elements. Various systems of spiral compression springs, rubber buffers, vibration elements or air bellows are possible and can be combined if required (hybrid suspension).
For dusty screening material, we can supply Linear-motion Screening Machines with a dust hood or a closed dust protection box on request. Screening aids in the form of knocking devices or sprayers are available as an option – also individually adapted.
The robust design using and combining standard components ensures a high degree of flexibility and customer-oriented solutions on the one hand, and on the other hand produces machines with low-maintenance running times and a long service life.
