Solid-liquid separation is regarded as a key unit operation within chemical engineering. SIEBTECHNIK TEMA relies on decades of experience in this field. Our machines are in operation worldwide in virtually any process within chemical industry and producing industries. We are at your side from the beginning – step by step
In-depth assessment of your process requirements: We analyse together with you the current process situation or your process design and separation targets.
Lab tests: We conduct bench-scale tests. We determine material properties and simulate operation and performance of a production centrifuge. This level of testing defines the right type of centrifuge from our equipment portfolio and determines further steps towards.
Pilot tests: We test the application on pilot scale with our continuously operating test units. We have access to 20 test centrifuges and can pilot practically all machine types in our portfolio. This test level provides in-depth information on future machine performance.
Laboratory and pilot tests may be carried out in our Technical Center in Mülheim, at one of our branches or on your site – worldwide. We will define together with you the most suitable test approach.
Scale-Up: Pilot tests provide the basis required for scale-up. When determining the appropriate size and subtype of centrifuge, we rely on our vast process database and various calculation methodologies.
Machine design: Specific design of centrifuges is not limited to the choice of material, wear protection or surface quality. It is our DNA to provide a very high level of custom tailoring if required.
If your product demands a flawless surface, if product characteristics need a protective gas atmosphere or solid discharge needs to be directed upwards, we will provide this to you.

Analyzing
We manufacture: Analytical Screening machines for determining the grain size of bulk materials of all grain sizes. Test drums for determining drum strength. Gas pycnometers for determining skeletal density. Robot cells for automatic sample preparation and analysis of physical parameters. Dividers for representative rejuvenation of sample quantities and Laboratory Centrifuges for separating solids from suspensions.
Crushing
We offer a wide range of solutions in the field of coarse, fine and ultrafine comminution of raw materials, chemically/thermally produced materials and in the recycling of valuable materials. In addition to pure particle size reduction, our extensive product portfolio can also be used to produce specific particle shapes and distributions. We also offer solutions for the mechanical activation of materials.
