Automatic milling and pressing system (AMP)
The fully automatic grinding and pressing system can be used to convert bulk material samples into test specimens for an XRF or XRD analyzer.
The vibratory disc mill enables fast, loss-free and reproducible ultrafine comminution and homogenization of the samples.
The grinding vessels can hold sample batches of 10 – 1000 cm³ and grind and homogenize the sample material to final finenesses of up to < 40 μm*1) in a single step.
This makes sample preparation with a vibratory disk mill the ideal prerequisite for subsequent analysis using an X-ray spectrometer, regardless of whether pressed tablets or melting tablets are produced from the ground samples.
Our vibratory disk mills are optionally available with:
Fully automatic vibratory disk mills offer the operator clear ergonomic advantages, as the grinding vessel remains in the machine. This eliminates the physically strenuous task of removing and emptying the grinding vessel. With optionally available sample magazines, the fully automatic machine can process samples over a longer period of time without user intervention, leaving the laboratory staff more time for other tasks.
Depending on the design of the vibratory disk mills, they can also accommodate several grinding vessels with appropriate adapters, e.g.
Innovative app control
Closed, soundproof housing
Optional pneumatic closing bellows
Can be driven under with a pallet truck
Braked drive
We now make your work even easier: fill in the sample, grind and remove the ground sample in the beaker! This eliminates the need for your employees to handle heavy grinding vessels.
After each grinding, the grinding vessel is cleaned using compressed/suction air so that cross-contamination between two subsequent samples can be virtually eliminated. Upstream grinding with a rinsing material often minimizes material carryover to the detection limit, even with slightly adhering materials.
The grinding media (stone/rings) in the grinding vessel are set in a rolling impact motion by a circular oscillation.
This movement generates very high forces, which result in fast, loss-free and reproducible homogenization and ultra-fine grinding to analytical fineness.
