Sample preparation in a vibratory disk mill has been a tried and tested method for decades. We now make your work even easier: fill in the sample, grind and remove the ground sample in the beaker! This eliminates the need for your employees to handle the heavy grinding vessels.

- Filling the sample material into the feed chute of the machine
- Starting the machine
- Sample material falls into the grinding vessel and is crushed and homogenized according to the preset time and speed
- Emptying the grinding vessel into a sample container
- Output of the ground sample material in the sample container
- Flushing the grinding vessel with compressed air and/or flushing material
Automatic vibratory disk mill
Simply more ergonomic
With the automatic vibratory disk mill, the grinding vessel remains in the machine and no longer needs to be removed to remove the sample material.
This eliminates the need for the operator to handle the grinding vessel, which makes the work much easier and more ergonomic.
It can also be fully automatic!
The TS 1000-A can be upgraded to a fully automatic sample grinding station using optional sample magazines. All the operator has to do is fill the magazine with samples to be ground and remove the ground samples from the magazine. Depending on the selected size of the magazines, the machine can be operated autonomously for longer periods of time.

The machine is operated via a touchscreen, which is used to make the following settings, among others:
- Variable grinding time
- Variable speed in the range 700 – 1200 rpm
- Variable flushing times and speeds
- Standard Operation Procedures (SOP)
- Calling up the operating instructions
Versions of the automatic vibratory disk mill TS 1000-A
- Grinding vessels in chrome steel, tungsten carbide and zirconium oxide
- Grinding vessels with usable volumes of 100, 250, 500 and 1000 cm³
- TS 1000-A installed in an Automatic milling and pressing system AMP, which combines all processes from pre-grinding of fist-sized sample materials, dividing, ultra-fine grinding and pressing of the powder into a tablet in one device
Areas of application for vibratory disk mills
Vibratory disc mills are used for fast, loss-free and reproducible fine comminution and homogenization of sample material.
Sample preparation with vibratory disk mills has been established for decades as a proven method in various fields of application, particularly in geology, mineralogy, metallurgy, the glass and ceramics industry, the building materials industry, soil and plant analysis and in power plants.
The grinding vessels have a capacity of 50 to 1000 cm³ and the sample material is ground and homogenized to final finenesses of up to < 40 μm in a single step. As a result, sample preparation with vibratory disk mills offers ideal conditions for subsequent analysis using X-ray spectrometry, regardless of whether pressed tablets or melting tablets are produced from the ground samples.
