Automatic milling and pressing system (AMP)
The fully automatic grinding and pressing system can be used to convert bulk material samples into test specimens for an XRF or XRD analyzer.
Constantly increasing quality demands on raw materials and end products in the industry require modern preparation technologies, the precision and optimization of production processes and the monitoring of product quality.
The machines and systems we have developed support our customers in increasing their productivity and analytical reliability by providing them with processed samples and even analytical results quickly and reliably.
SIEBTECHNIK TEMA offers you a wide variety of machines and systems for automation. These diverse components are available individually or you can use us as a system provider in the field of sampling and sample preparation.
This fully automatic system can be used to determine the material moisture of bulk material samples with individual weights of up to 6 kg. The AMAS can be integrated into an automatic sampling system for this purpose, so that the analysis is carried out promptly after the sample is taken.
The process in the AMAS begins with the filling of the drying tray with the moist bulk sample, which is then evenly distributed in the tray and weighed.
After a set drying time, the tray is removed from the oven, weighed and returned to the oven.
This last step is repeated until the material has dried and two consecutive weighings show constant weight. After emptying and cleaning the tray, it can be refilled.
If the AMAS is supplemented with an eccentric vibrating mill for ultra-fine comminution, the sample material is then prepared ready for analysis.
The automatic sieve and strength testing system is used for fully automatic grain size analysis and drum strength determination of sinter, coke and other dry bulk materials.
In the first step, the material to be analyzed is fed into a screening machine, which fractionates it into the various grain sizes. For this purpose, the sieving machine is equipped with a sieve tower. After fractionation, the sieves are removed individually by a handling device, weighed and emptied. The quantity of material required for the Solid Testing Drums is compiled proportionally from the required fractions and fed to the test drum, which is swiveled into the filling position.
Once the trommel process is complete, the Solid Testing Drums are swiveled into the emptying position and emptied while the trommel is rotating. The tumbled material is then fed back into the screening machine. After fractionation, the screens are removed from the handling device, weighed and emptied.
The emptied screens are temporarily stored in a magazine and stacked back onto the screening machine and automatically fixed in place once the base has been emptied.
Sample preparation systems in conjunction with sieving machines or measuring devices for particle size determination enable the fully automatic analysis of the particle size distribution of the bulk material and simultaneously provide a sample for chemical analysis.
Thanks to the bulk material dryer integrated in the system, moist, even wet products can also be processed so that they can subsequently be fed to the analysis device as recognizable individual particles.

With the BULKINSPECTOR, the world's first fully automatic gas pycnometer, weighing and volume determination are carried out automatically in the device.
The fully automatic transport of bulk material samples to the laboratory is carried out by our Pneumatic Tube Systems, which are individually designed and manufactured for your spatial conditions.
Testing a sampling system for systematic errors is very time-consuming and labor-intensive and is usually carried out on the basis of comparative sampling. This involves comparing the samples obtained by the automatic system with those obtained by a reference method – manual sampling from a stationary belt.
Thanks to the experience of our long-serving employees, our automatic sampling systems are designed and constructed in such a way that they reliably produce a representative analysis sample. This is because all the individual devices used are always selected and designed with the necessary care and technical knowledge.
