Our two-roller mills are available in two versions. One for installation in a plant and the other for installation in a laboratory (-L). The laboratory version is additionally equipped with a feed hopper, a base frame with collecting box and the control system, so that it is delivered ready for connection.

Applications & degrees of shredding

Brittle materials such as ores, slag, glass, ceramics, battery materials, limestone, etc. can be crushed up to a Mohs hardness of approx. 8.5 using the two-roller mills. Depending on the material and size of the mill, comminution ratios of 1:2, … , 1:5, max. up to approx. 1:20 can be achieved.

The two-roller mills are available in two versions, one for industrial use and one for laboratory use. All of our devices impress with many features that simplify your work.

Equipment features

Our Roller Mills have an innovative app control, an infinitely adjustable roller gap, a reversible overload protection, a high force transmission into the movable crushing roller and a suction connection. The grinding chamber is easy to inspect and clean thanks to the hinged upper part of the grinder housing. Crushing & Milling with low contamination is ensured with crushing rollers made of cast steel, tungsten carbide or aluminum oxide.

An infinitely adjustable roller gap

One of the two rollers is fixed, the second roller can be adjusted via a spindle. The set roller distance is displayed via the app. The zero point can be reset if the rollers are worn.

Reversible overload protection

Spring assemblies allow the movable roller to evade smaller, non-breakable materials.

Easy cleaning and inspection of the grinding chamber

High force transmission into the movable crushing roller via the hinged upper part of the mill housing High pressure forces can be generated in the roller gap by mounting it on a rocker.

Operating behavior & mechanical features

In the two-roller mill, Crushing & Milling takes place between two counter-rotating rollers mainly through pressure and shear stress. The smooth crushing rollers are arranged opposite each other, whereby one of the two is fixed on the housing and the second is movable. The movable crushing roller can be moved via a spindle in order to continuously adjust the gap between the two rollers. The movable roller is supported by spring assemblies that can be adapted to the requirements in terms of pretensioning force in order to avoid interfering materials. The two crushing rollers are driven by a V-belt drive.
