No more backwashing: Our Continuously Washing Up Flow (CWUF) sand filters are deep bed gravity filters, that continuously self-clean during operation.

Continuously Washing Up Flow Sand Filters: Efficient and Self-Cleaning

The SIEBTECHNIK TEMA Continuously Washing Up Flow (CWUF) Sand Filters are deep bed gravity filters that are designed to continuously self-clean during operation. This feature eliminates the need for backwashing equipment such as pumps, tanks, piping and instrumentation, simplifying both operation and maintenance. With no need to shut down for backwash cycles, our filters provide uninterrupted service.

Our CWUF Sand Filters have a deep sand bed with an effective depth of 2 meters, providing excellent filtration and sludge holding capacity compared to conventional media filters. This depth is key to their effectiveness in various water treatment processes.

100% Australian made at our Revesby, NSW factory, these filters have a proven track record of excellence. Over the past 30 years, we have supplied more than 155 CWUF filter units of various sizes, tailored to a wide range of applications. These include the purification of raw water for drinking and processing, as well as the treatment of wastewater and industrial effluents.
